Strawberries Anyone

Harrison went on a field trip to Tanaka Farms strawberry fields. After tasting a bunch of great veggies while touring the farm on a tractor we ended up on a few rows of strawberries, where you were able to eat as many as you wanted and then fill your basket to take home. They were delicious, although the kids just eat a few. I guess I thought that Emma would sit nicely in the field and go to town on strawberries. That was not the case, all she wanted to do was run down the isles which means I ran down the isles. Maybe next year. Miss Julies class.
Harrison's Buddies
Harrison was very confused that the kids were eating veggies that were just pulled out of the ground and were still a little bit dirty and not cooked. Then to top it off when you were done with them you through them over your shoulder while the tractor was in motion. The carrots were really good. We also had leafy greens, tomatoes, green beans, sugar snap peas and the biggest onions you have ever seen. They plant the onions next to the strawberries to keep the bugs away.

One of the 3 strawberries that she ate while standing next to some dead plants. Nice, I really did think I was going to get so really cute photos. That was clearly not the case.

While everyone sat and eat strawberries in the field, Harrison was done and waited in the wagon. We are going back to pick watermelons this summer. I am a gluten for punishment or maybe I just have a lot of wishful thinking.
