Dinner Anyone

Each Tuesday afternoon I spend time at the park with the boys and friends. Normally I will toss a Tri Tip aka Prestons favorite meat in the over, set the timer and when we get home dinner is ready. Well today was a typical Tuesday, I stayed a little late at the park and called Jeremy to take the Tri Tip out of the over when he got home. He said okay that he would be there with in 5 minutes. I got a call about 15 minutes later "Well Dana I didn't have to take the roast out of the oven". "Crap, did I forget to put it in". He replied "Ahh noooo, the fire department came over and did it for you." "WHAT". " You need to call them when you get home".

Come to find out the house filled with smoke for what ever reason and the smoke alarms went off. The neighbor called Coto security and they called 911. Luckily the back door was unlocked and they came in, check the entire house, pulled the roast out and opened all the windows. Then they let themselves out. The roast was cooked perfect, I should call and thank them. The neighborhood kids thought it was great. They got to check out the fire truck and got lots of stickers and hats.

I would have been mortified if I came home to find a huge fire truck in my driveway! The police were called too because the fireman had to let themselves in and check the house completely. Note to self, always leave your house clean ... you never know what company is go to stop by while your gone.

Oh my goodness! What happened! That is scary! I am glad that everything turned out good! Was dinner ruined? And good advice about having the house clean!

So nice of them to take out your dinner and that you left the back door unlocked for them. BTW, you look really tan in your other post.

If I ate meat I would have wanted to taste it. Until then, I will just take your word for it.

Are you going to try again tomorrow?!?! Do it and see how long it takes for them to show up.
